Dr. Katie Harris grew up in Rochester, NY, where her passion for veterinary medicine began at an early age.
Inspired by her father, a veterinarian himself, she spent countless hours by his side, learning the ins and outs of caring for animals and falling in love with veterinary medicine.
Dr. Harris earned her bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, with a minor in Nutritional Science, from Cornell University in 2004, and went on to receive her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Purdue University in 2008. Dr. Harris joined our team right after graduation and has been a valued member ever since.
Dr. Harris is deeply committed to building lasting relationships with our clients and their families, and is dedicated to ensuring that every pet receives the highest standard of care. Her professional interests include feline medicine, ophthalmology, dermatology, and preventative care. What she loves most about JBAH is the incredible culture and the close knit and supportive team we have.
When she is not caring for patients, Dr. Harris is an active volunteer with Fur Kids and is a proud rescue mom to her two dogs, Lucy and Midge, and her newest addition to the family, a cat named Scuba. You can also find Dr. Harris running on the greenway or spending quality time with her husband, Eric, and their two children, Ally and Ethan.
